Carlotta Holton

Author/Journalist

Carlotta Holton is an author/journalist who has to her credit more than fifty state and three national writing awards, including The Award of Excellence in Cardiovascular Reporting from the American Heart Association for a series of articles in The New York Times. She was also named the Woman of Excellence in Journalism by the Union County NJ Freeholders in 1998. She is listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in America 2005 and was named a Female Legend of Morris County in 2010 by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce for her accomplishments as an award-winning author and journalist. In addition, she received the Excellence Award in Fiction Writing from New Jersey Press Women in 2011.

Holton earned a Master’s degree in the Humanities and Writing from Kean University, Union, NJ and has taught in the English and Journalism departments at three New Jersey colleges. She has previously worked as an editor for the Specialty Publications Division of the Record of Bergen County, NJ. She currently writes a monthly column in the Observer Tribune. Holton resides with her husband, James, who divide their time between Chester and Lavallette NJ and Missouri.
